History

This property is so significant that there is little doubt that it drew the attention of natives long before the arrival of the first non-native settlers. The owners have heard the story of a time when the mother of one of the first pioneer families (in the 1800's) was having trouble with childbirth. They sent word to the natives who were living or camping at the falls on this property and received help from the women there.

Below the falls there is a swimming hole that is about 25' deep, even through the summer, and the owners' understanding is that, since the 1800's it has always been known as "Bare Bum Beach". This is where the new name of the falls came from - "Triplebee Falls".

This picture was taken in the spring of 2009, when the water was at a very high level. The water here, even in summer, is about 25' deep. and the area on the right side of this picture, currently flooded, is the location of "Bare Bum Beach".

Where the river becomes less visible in this photograph, it takes a turn to the left. This is only about 1/2 of the way down to the bottom of the parcel for sale.
